Dec 2010 - Oct 2011Contracts Manager – Offshore Loading Systems (OLS) Replacement ProjectThe Hibernia offshore production platform is located approximately 315kms off the eastern coast of Newfoundland and Labrador. The Offshore Loading Systems (OLS) is the only means by which crude oil is transported from the platform to tankers and, as such, is critical to maintaining production and safe operations. An Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) Company was contracted to provide engineering, procurement, and fabrication of two new Offshore Loading Systems (approx. $50M). A disposal and installation Contractor was contracted to provide removal, disposal, and installation of two new OLS (approx. $80M). Reporting to the Project Manager and the Procurement Manager, my duties included:• Contract administration of the EPC and Installation Contracts;• Understanding assigned Contract Scopes of Work, Terms and Conditions, Contractual documents, job specifications, pay items, and deliverables;• Maintaining and updating the Contract Strategy for the project;• Reviewing, negotiating and processing Contract Change Orders and Amendments;• Providing Contract review, interpretation and guidance to the project team;• Reviewing Contractor’s schedule, progress and milestone payments;• Confirming Contractors fulfilled its Contractual obligations;• Providing oversight and guidance of Contractor’s Expression of Interest (EOI), Request for Proposal (RFP), and Award Recommendation process;• Providing weekly reports to the project team with respect to Contract Management activities and achievements;• Participating in the preparation of an overall project monthly report and presenting it to management;• Working with the Project Engineers to assist with Third Party Contracting process for Tanker and Supply Vessel upgrades related to the OLS Project;• Engaging in the ExxonMobil Contract Audit process; and,• Working with Staffing Agencies to provide project specific roles including oversight of the Temporary Foreign Worker process.
