  Event Planner

  As an event planner for Sustainable Behrend at Penn State Behrend, I was charged with creating two events from scratch to be featured in Behrend's ongoing Sustainability Series. The events I created were an Economic Equality Panel, focusing on how to make Erie a more livable community for the minority population, and an on-campus voter registration drive. All aspects of the event, from the creation of promotional material to conceptualization to pre-planning and post-planning were handled by me. In this role, some of my major responsibilites were:• Planning events related to civic engagement and sustainability, including a voter registration drive and a panel on economic equality on a community level• Coordinating with community leaders and campus organizations to establish events• Creating media material that focused on the Sustainability Series brand and mission in relation to campus events• Researching statistics and data related to voter turnout and economic instability for minorities in Erie, Pa.
