  The project specification required the complete design of a small two theatre orthopaedic hospital in Cardiff, Wales. I was involved in Initial conceptual design through to the complete structural analysis and fit out was performed. The project was joint with the architectural and mechanical and electrical disciplines of the Cardiff school of engineering. The project was an introduction to the BIM environment and by the end of the project an extensive understanding of BIM tools such as Autodesk Revit was gained. A First Class mark was achieved. The Hospital was also designed to achieve a BREEAM rating of Outstanding at Inital design assessment. Show less
