  -As a pioneering Mining Engineer at the Company (the largest scale coal mining project in Nigeria with an installed coal mining capacity of 3 Million tonnes per annum), I partook in further exploration work (core drilling) to ascertain the depth of overburden and extent/quality of the coal deposit so as to be sure we are mining a measured resource and then I collaborated with the management team to analyze exploration data to determine resource viability, determine Mining method, carryout Machine selection and develop the appropriate mining plan and schedule.-Successfully lead and coordinate various departments including Mine Survey, Geologists, Maintenance, Civil and others to successfully carry out various sequence of operations which include Overburden removal, Coal extraction, Quality Control, Reclamation, Coal Haulage and Dispatch. All these were made seamless by my excellent delegation and Interpersonal skills.-Provide technical support to mine and maintenance management so as to ensure that the heavy earth moving machines and infrastructure (power, dewatering facilities, haul roads) are functioning as required. -Responsible for the safety of personnel and machinery.-Regularly analyzed all operational data to make well-informed decisions that optimized costs and enhanced safety.-I continously led my team to achieve a daily production target of 3000 tonnes of Coal and 80000 cubic metres of Overburden with a near zero accident rate.   -I have continously led my team to achieve a daily production target of 2500 tonnes of Coal and 45000 cubic metres of overburden while maintaining a near zero accident rate.-Responsible for creating weekly and monthly mining plans, which are designed to ensure the mine operates around the clock, seven days a week. These plans are integral to maintaining smooth shift operation and changes and also keeping the mine running smoothly.-Significantly decreased machine idle time and unproductive hours through the identification of root causes of breakdowns and analysis of maintenance department reports.-I plan with Drilling and Blasting team to meet a Bi-weekly target of blasting 350 holes while ensuring that the process is carried out safely.-Achieved a 95% reduction in accidents through thorough analysis of past accident and injury reports, which led to the implementation of risk assessment programs, including hazard identification and risk assessment techniques.-Collaborated with the management team to address various obstacles such as environmental issues, water management in mines, health and safety concerns, community-related challenges, and production difficulties.-My team and I have successfully reclaimed more than 5 Hectares of mined out area and handed over to the host community.-Achieved a record production of 6000 tonnes of coal in a day with my team.
