  Role and Responsibilities: Manager of the Operating Systems in Automotive BUResponsibilities: Both people manager and project manager for a team of 50 engineers (including contractors) spread into multiple locations (Bucharest, Vietnam). People management activities included hiring, motivating and inspiring others, 1:1s, career path development, mid and end-year evaluations.Assigned with the role of Product Owner and responsible for the general strategy of the product, execution of releases, working with Marketing to define the feature content and roadmap of the product. I performed weekly status reports to second level of management.I was responsible for four products of AMP group: NXP Automotive Linux BSP: targeting areas like Gateway and Autonomous Drive, leveraging technologies like Yocto and HypervisorNXP Autosar OS: Implementation of the standard Autosar OS optimized for NXP platformfreeRTOS: Real time OS solution for non Autosar market (China customers)Inter Platform Communication Framework: library for core to core and SOC to SOC communication, abstracting particularities of the OS and physical connection environment and providing a unique and open APII coordinated Linux Embedded Challenge (LEC), a university program which was meant to attract fresh out talent in NXP. In 2017, the competition gathered 100 teams (250 participants) from six universities in Romania (https://www.facebook.com/LinuxEmbeddedChallenge/) and expanded to Hanoi, Vietnam in 2018.I was assigned as Technical Lead for a critical customer project that meant the delivery of a Linux BSP targeted for Infotainment. I held presentations at various conferences (internal and external), in which I described product capabilities, roadmap and performance metrics, also acted as a customer interface to Bosch and Continental for Linux related topics.
