Level 2C official in the Hockey Canada pipeline. I stopped officiating for several years due to the pandemic, a busy school schedule, and some injuries. I have stayed up to date on my certifications and have started skating games again, with the goal of increasing my performance and working some important games in both the minor and junior hockey systems.- Responsible for the safe and fair completion of Hockey Canada sanctioned games with a team of 1-4 other officials.- Communicate constantly with fellow officials, team staff, team players, and report back to the local and regional Referees-In-Chief.- Ensure gamesheet is correctly completed and distributed to the required parties. I continue to officiate part time and stay up to date on all rule changes and important events in the hockey world. My love for sports will never falter, and this is a great way to stay active and give back to the community, while making a little extra spending money. Show less

      Maintenance Worker

Oak Gables is where my love for technology and a career in engineering was confirmed as the one for me. Sports will always be a large part of my life, and being able to pair my love for sports with math and science was so cool. - Complete a variety of tasks assigned by the superintendent to maintain 27 holes of high quality Golf Course property. - Operate tractors, mowers, and other machines to a high level of precision. Assist with the safe and legal application of a variety of chemicals to keep the turf in pristine playing condition.- As part of the job in servicing machines taking part in both scheduled and unscheduled repairs, I learned the most effective way to read and interpret documentation, and communicate that information with the employees who have the mechanical background and lead the repairs.- Train and supervise new employees to ensure safe and proper operation of all machines and tools.I am eternally grateful to the staff and management at OG for my making my first real start in the professional world as great as it could have possibly been. May 2022 - Aug 2023
      Electrical Engineering Co-Op Student (Research)

Key responsibility for all electrical capabilities in the R&D group. This included the set-up and debugging of all electrical test apparatus', data acquisition and analysis of experiments, operation of Bearing, Oil Flow, Thermal and Vibration testing cells. Maintained and optimized testing carts for the laboratory based on lessons learned in prior programs.- Optimized assembly technique of prototype sensor in a new type of engine for the company. Worked with a small team to complete a full suite of hardware and software testing before a field trial. Support existing field trial work while simultaneously preparing for additional trials. Maintained BOMs and completed all ordering.- Test and analysis of prototype sensor on aerospace monitoring platform. Developed scripts for easily transferring data types, creating calibration curves, and vetting overall system performance and tuning.- Procured and documented a variety of different particle materials and morphologies for testing with company products. A certain test procedure required particles that were unable to be sourced, so a novel approach to creating these was developed. Entire procedure was documented and presented to stakeholders, and compared with expected simulated values. This resulted in ground breaking improvements to sensor understanding as previously untested simulations could be vetted, improving our position with clients. - Train and mentor incoming employees and students in company laboratory procedures: including a detailed documentation of the 'intangibles' such as minor set-up quirks, location of relevant materials, and previously undocumented specifications of the different Signal Conditioning Units (SCUs).Experience with a multitude of applications, programming languages, and electrical codes for use in aerospace and industrial testing environments.
