I was offered a position as an Art director mainly working on Unilever (Lux, Organics, Sunsilk, Lipton), Nestle confectionary, Kraft, Mamypoko, and Ford. Not only I was a culture shock, but my learning curve was very steep - learning from still pictures to moving pictures was what kept me going. From a pure design background, I’ve always been taught everything must be beautiful… however only then I realise that communication was key in the industry. The successful launch of Garnier Fairness Ruler campaign in Malaysia resulted the need to adapted to all countries around SEA - making it a benchmark campaign for Loreal next launch. As for Sime Darby, we not only work closely with the marketing team but also the interior designers and architects, making sure that the key inspiration of each development is brought to live not only through the naming of the housing area but also through their launches and brochures. This has made me an all-rounded and the brainchild of these brands.
