  Aurora Bistro was one of Vancouver’s first locavore restaurants, boasting an all-BC wine list, and reexamining what Canadian cuisine truly was. Owner Jeff Van Geest was part of a new breed of chefs who carved out their own path and put Vancouver on the map as a culinary destination. Aurora was celebrated in many local and international publications and took home multiple awards, including 'Best New Restaurant' at the Vancouver Magazine Restaurant Awards, and was named one of Canada’s Top Ten New Restaurants by enRoute Magazine.
