      Jun 2020 - Dec 2022

As the key staff, I oversaw all business activities during a critical time of need. I worked closely with the Board at Literature for All of Us to evaluate the organization's future in light of the COVID-19 pandemic's impact on in-person sessions, which are a major component of LFAOU's mission. To inform our decision-making, I created an assessment report that identified strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats. I carefully analyzed different options for the organization, including revamping, closing our doors, or partnering/merging with a mission-aligned organization. After thoroughly evaluating our resources and mission, we made the decision to donate the organization's funds, books, journals, and art supplies, as well as our curriculum files, to the Chicago Public Library. We closed down the organization in good standing and filed all required State and Federal reports.I also crafted communications to inform funders, partners, key stakeholders, and constituents of our decision and worked collaboratively on a celebration of the organization's achievements.Effected the transfer of all resources to the Chicago Public Library, resulting in the mission's reach growing more than 10-fold, having the CPL librarians trained with LFAOU trauma-informed book group model and making book group materials available at libraries across the city. Plus, the website is archived through CPL’s involvement in the national archival project, offering over 1000 weeks of curricula. Show less
