  Internship entails training in the CAD-CAM Dept., Tool shop, Machining section, Finishing section and Quality control of the finished Moulds. The company manufactures moulds of the articles given by the contractor for plastic injection moulding. Also, there was production of plastic articles were done, primarily through injection moulding process.

  Internship in Study of Diesel Locomotive Mechanical System

  The Internship was held in Central Railway Locomotive Workshop, Parel. The prime focus the organization is the maintenance and testing of the Diesel Loco and manufacturing spares like wheels, Bogies, coaches, etc.In the Internship we studied the Mechanical systems and working of Locomotive Diesel engine. While we were on the internship, the department was replacing the MPFI(Multi-Point Fuel Injection) system with CRDI(Common Rail Direct Injection) inorder to increase the efficiency of the engine. Here, we got to see and learn design elements, manufacturing processes and testing from different workshops that are, bogies(ICF & FIAT) and Coach workshop, Wheel shop, Spring shop, 140T Crane shop, Forging section, CNC section, Paint shop, and then the main Diesel Engine Workshop.   CFD Research Intern

  - While the internship, we have to Perform CFD analysis on ANSYS Fluent of a 3D Airfoil wing with 'Multi-Feature' inorder to analyze and enhance aerodynamic performance of the wing.- The batch of 20 was divided in two teams of 10, and each person on the team was allotted a separate prototype. Now each member has to Analyze lift and drag forces of the prototype at various angle of attack and various speeds. At the end, the team has to create a final report containing the results of all prototypes and team has create an creative way for the comparison of results of the prototypes. Show less
