      Day to day responsibilities at EScience included environmental reporting, compliance auditing of environmental authorisations (water use licences, waste management licences, environmental management programmes, et cetera), and contributing towards various research projects underway atEScience. I also provided external environmental compliance officer services for an industrial fuels producer (FFS Refiners).In addition, I was responsible for managing the GIS (Geographic Information Systems) requirements of the company, which included mapping for environmental reports, and air quality dispersion modelling results. This also included the production of geo.dat files for atmospheric dispersion modelling, line source grid networks for emissions inventories, and assisted with health risk assessments based on air quality modelling results. I was also responsible for GIS data management and conversion.During my tenure at EScience, I initiated various improvements to the efficiency of GIS processes at the company, and enabling numerous GIS projects that were previously user-operated to become more streamlined through automation.       At the City of London Corporation, initially I was responsible for the day to day implementation of GIS across the organisation, supporting other staff by providing expertise through support and training, along with assisting with the database management and provision of the data from Ordnance Survey and similar organisations amongst other duties such as:• Responsible for developing training material and operational guides.• Providing technical support in addition to on one-to-one or team training where required.• Configuring ArcGIS online and web apps including deploying Hub Sites, Experience Builder, StoryMaps, Survey123, and Field Maps.• Undertaking routine infrastructure monitoring and fault rectification.• Maintaining data repository with relevant datasets.• Actively promoting the use of GIS within the Corporation.• Responsible for the planning and deployment of ArcGIS enterprise and configuring web map solutions on Geocortex.• Planning software deployments and undertaking database migrations/upgrades• Establishing data migration to GIS database from other applications such as Idox Uniform Planning System and ArcGIS online, along with assisting to integrate with Power BI. • Manage the publication datasets such as Representational End State Transfer, Web Mapping Service and Web Feature Service.• Maintain internal and external web mapping applications.• Create and develop automated data integration processes through using Python.• Host quarterly feedback sessions with end users.• Manage GIS Infrastructure in tandem with IT.• Identifying potential improvements for the use of GIS at the Corporation.
