  My main responsibilities as a Reservoir Engineer at Heritage Petroleum are to monitor and optimize mature steam floods and primary producing assets, and conduct reservoir evaluation studies, proposing methods for increasing oil recovery through infill drilling, EOR proposals, well optimization, workovers and other exploration and production activities. Giving careful consideration to financial key performance indicators of project proposals.As an integrated team member, I work closely with cross functional subsurface and operations teams to execute planned work aimed at optimizing reservoir performance. Providing oversight of exploration, development, and production field activities, ensuring that work programs and field activities are designed and executed in accordance with all government, regulatory authorities, and company standards. Throughout my time working at Heritage Petroleum and Petrotrin, I proposed several successful well reactivation campaigns that proved to be high capital efficiency investments. Reservoir characterization studies that I conducted led to the proposal and drilling of 7 in fill wells over a two-year period, this resulted in a cumulative initial production rate of over 650bopd.Throughout my career, I worked with a wide range of data sets across all functional areas of the upstream oil and gas industry. As a reservoir engineer, I integrated geological, production, workover, drilling, completion, core, petrophysical and other data sets to understand and predict reservoir behavior, and strategies plans to maximize asset value. I also gained practical experience in data management working closely with data management teams to digitize pertinent legacy data, and develop and test solutions for exploration and production teams. Additionally, over the past two years through several paid online courses and free resources I learnt to use SQL, R programming, Python programming, google sheets, tableau and PowerBi. Show less
