      Cabot Credit Management was a US owned debt recovery services specialist operating across Europe. The debt purchase business had acquired over £20 billion of face value debt since its inception and collected over £25m each month, ~£7m from UK litigation.I was employed in a litigation specific role following a period of exceptional growth. One of my primary objectives was to establish an improved cost forecasting model to better predict the Court costs on high volume litigation activity. The spend volatility created reporting challenges for the US owners, Encore Capital Group, particularly in respect of earnings per share. The business spent ~£40m a year on Litigation, a significant investment in future recoveries, and this, together with complex US GAAP reporting, made the role high profile and subject to scrutiny.• Creation of a complex cost forecasting model, improving accuracy and enabling scenario modelling for profit maximisation.• Developed US GAAP reporting within a SOX environment, working with US colleagues and using large volumes of complex data.• Designed, created, and implemented a monthly management reporting pack providing much improved performance reporting.• Frequent performance presentation to CEO/CFO level, communicating complex information succinctly.
