Prior to being promoted to Captain, attended upgrade training to become an instructor navigator. Served as squadron safety officer and conducted safety briefings for the entire wing (tanker and bomber squadrons.)

  Responsible for the financial closing for the largest overhaul and repair facility at Hamilton Sundstrand. Created the annual budget and worked with operations management to provide monthly forecasts. Supervised the accounting team and guided them in making process improvements to shorten the closing cycle. Trained other Hamilton Sundstrand repair sites in the use of the customized ERP system, JD Edwards. Created financial reports for the new Regional Aircraft reporting business at Hamilton Sundstrand. Emphasis was on training the financial employees on JD Edwards to improve receivable collections. implemented JD Edwards in a new acquisition and in a legacy business unit. Created standard financial structures in JD Edwards for the different aftermarket sites to facilitate analysis and reporting.
