      In this multifaceted role, I recruited and led an action team composed of community stakeholders. These parties included the US Forest Service, emergency services, county government, senior citizens, schools districts, and special districts. This action team was formed for the purpose of developing and implementing a long-range community plan for a sprawling unincorporated area of approximately 25,000 people. Within this role, I:➡️ Recruited multi-sector participation, secured funding, and chaired the 20-member team through the 14-month process of developing the La Pine Community Action Plan➡️ Secured 501(c)(3) status, as well as operational and implementation funding➡️ Worked with the Rocky Mountain Institute and top urban planners to implement a community design charrette➡️ Developed and managed all phases of a 3–year project to provide community governance through incorporation➡️ Secured state funds to provide community internet service➡️ Negotiated participation in regional $11.4 million 10-year regional poverty reduction project with the Northwest Area Foundation➡️ Secured start-up funding for development of a special water district➡️ Founded the La Pine Health Care Council, a nonprofit corporation created to enhance rural healthcare availability Show less

      As the executive director, I assembled a collaborative team of 15 county-level policymakers appointed by the Board of Supervisors. The primary objective was to coordinate social, educational, economic, and health resources in Siskiyou County . This team recommended policies to the BOS and functioned as Siskiyou County's Child Abuse Prevention Council. I spearheaded the transition to a 501(c)(3) corporation, facilitated the establishment of numerous partnerships, secured over $10 million in grants and government contracts, managed 120+ contracts annually, oversaw grant allocation processes, ensured contract compliance and program outcomes, managed multi-fund budgets and annual audits, and developed and maintained compliance with organizational policies and procedures.I organized public, private and community partners to implement long-term community strengthening initiatives including:➡️ Forming a network of 10 family/community resource centers to enhance community engagement and provide a framework for local access to services and support➡️ Implementing root-cause child abuse prevention strategies➡️ Developing a countywide system of evidence-based parenting education➡️ Implementing substance use prevention through coalition strategies➡️ Promoting access to behavioral health services through integration. This coalition brings together stakeholders from diverse backgrounds to collectively tackle the challenges posed by substance use and opioid use disorder.🔹Strategic Alignment: Serving as a bridge between stakeholders, I lead efforts to align strategies, objectives, and resources. By fostering a shared vision, the coalition enhances its impact in mitigating the harms associated with substance use disorders.🔹Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT) Work Group: I initiated and currently facilitate the MAT Work Group within the coalition.
