I was invited to and participated in the Command Evaluation Team as a Master Training Specialist in the top 10% of the command; I evaluated and interviewed all prospective Master Training Specialists. I was selected as Instructor of the Year for 3 consecutive years.

      Responsible for leading and training a crew of 86 Sailors and supervising the operation and testing of 2 nuclear propulsion plants during refueling and overhaul. Directly responsible to the department head for the conduct of maintenance and equipment operation for 55 Sailors in 2 reactor plants. Additionally responsible for a team of 8 computer network administrators. Lead a team of 15 senior Sailors and was the initial supervisor for all Sailors checking into the command. I oversaw the planning and execution of the departmental training plan, to include regular training, large amounts of documentation, and qualification management. Directly managed multiple programs in support of the departmental training and qualification program. I developed an integrated database, tying together multiple tracking and administration processes into one user-friendly system that is still in use 4 years later. I revamped the qualification program for senior Sailors and Officers resulting in a drastic decrease in qualification delinquencies. Directly lead and managed 30 Sailors in the support of reactor plant operation and maintenance. I was responsible for every aspect of their professional performance, to include training, qualifications, maintenance, watch standing, and operations.
