      Access to Nursing SCQF Level 6

      Activities and Societies: loved all parts of the course especially Sociology to Psychology. I really enjoyed trying something new as I had always wanted to be a nurse. Didn't manage to go further in nursing due to having a young family and the hours did not suit. Maybe one day!

      My 1st experience in hospitality and what a Hotel to start in. Lovely place and thrived from learning all the different drinks especially their wine and whisky selection. If was definetly a great place to start my career.

      Bar work was something I had done since I left school so during looking after my small daughter I was working part time. I really enjoyed working here and became a supervisor making sure the bar was looked after, doing rotas, banking and organising the bar for events. In the bar area we also served food. left here due to having another child.

      Started off working in the bar part time due to having small children. I then worked my way into coordinating all the events that took place especially weddings from booking to the day itself. I was appointed a duty manager and along with that I was looking after front of house too. It was a great experience and enjoyed every minute and learned a lot about hotels in general dealing with different departments. I left due to being offered a job at the Northern Hotel.

      Been working in the hospitality industry for 20 years with a couple of breaks to enjoy watching my 2 daughters grow up. Started here through an offer of a job through recommendation, began as a Duty Manager progressing to F&B/Events then eventually to the Hotel Manager. Enjoy every minute of learning this new position. Worked in a few different Hotels in Aberdeen and gained my experience through hard work and dedication.
