  Plan, analyze, design, develop, test, QA, configure, install, implement, integrate, maintain, and/or manage networked systems used for the transmission of information in voice, data, and/or video formats. Configure and optimize network routers and switches; analyze network workload; monitor network capacity and performance; diagnose and resolve network problems; Responsible for configuration, and installation of hardware (equipment), upgrades (e.g., routers, hubs, modems, switches, etc), facility (switching) upgrades, option features, and trunking changes. Act as an “on-site” software technician for supported systems by working with contracted software developers to help correct application malfunctions. Troubleshoot IBM and Unix computer systems to determine and correct hardware and/or software problems. Install and maintain office automation hardware and software packages. Install handheld computer software, install and troubleshoot wireless network devices, troubleshoot wireless network connectivity, and train users of wireless technologies. Enforce US Army policies to maintain network security and ensure each computer meets standard conditions for network access. Install Windows and Unix operating systems, apply hardware image using network resources, create hardware image for systems, edit registry, edit security policies, set software and hardware properties, apply network settings, troubleshoot network connectivity, install Windows updates, install updated firmware to hardware devices, update BIOS, and install/track Interim Change Packages (ICP) for software. Perform file maintenance that includes restoring files, fixing corrupt or out of synchronization files, rebuilding and saving files. Act as the Systems Administrator for the Organizational Unit in Active Directory. Establish and maintain Combat Service Support Automated Information Systems Interface wireless networks. Maintain Computer Exchange equipment and conduct one for one replacement with the user as required. Manage all above services for The Army Standard Retail Supply System, Property Book Unit Supply System, Standard Army Maintenance System (Enhanced), Standard Army Maintenance System-Air (Enhanced), Transportation Coordinators Automated Information Management System, and the Wildcat Maintenance Management System.
