A data delivery mechanism was developed in Oracle and Ardent Data Stage (data warehousing etl tool) adhering to the complex business rules specific to each client. The existing data in AS400 was migrated to Oracle with Data Stage jobs. It has a custom built framework which integrates disparate technologies and provides standards and governance for uniform code development.I was involved in creating the High Level & Detailed System Specifications for the platform.I managed the set-up project end-to-end, It involved designing the DWH software tool stack, servers, storage, back-up strategy, replication strategy, failover strategy, database clustering, networking, application on-boarding, additional network interface configuration based on technical requirements. I collaborated with various agencies within Credit Suisse, presenting possible options for each of the above areas and getting the preferred option approved. Each component/option selected was designed and set-up optimally to work with other components resulting in a performant, scalable and integrated large scale data warehouse. Further I negotiated with the System Integrator (SI) to put together a work order for the actual set-up of the platform. Actively participated in implementation & interacted with the engineering team(s) and the platform support team(s) across geographies to set-up the DWH application platform and DWH reporting platform. Interacted with the application development team to understand their requirements, determine their on-boarding suitability via RAG analysis and on-boarding questionnaire and finally help them on-board onto the platform. I was involved in designing and was hands-on in implementing the integrated Security Automation for the platform.
