  As Associate Vice Chancellor at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, Dr. King leads the integration of academic partnerships and education practices for pathway solutions to build ecosystems of navigation and integration for students to achieve seamless college journeys, degree achievement and career readiness. Partnerships are connected with technological and academic initiatives centric to meeting students’ needs through all stages of learning and development from K-12 to lifelong learning. Dr. King is an administrative lead for M3, a Milwaukee public education network comprised of MPS, MATC and UWM leadership designed to increase the retention, graduation, and career success of students. She is a program owner for the Moon Shot for Equity initiative aimed at closing equity gaps at UWM, and an administrative lead for the Higher Education Regional Alliance aimed at increasing college completion rates, aligning, evolving and innovating academic programs both within and across institutions, and expanding bridges between employers and students. Dr. King was the Executive Director of TechEd Frontiers, an innovative online talent development platform for upskilling in the workplace, coordinating alternative credentialing strategies that serve as on-ramps and off-ramps between higher education and the workplace.Dr. King is a UWM liaison to the University of Wisconsin System, City of Milwaukee and state for initiatives related to educational reform, STEM, and academic innovations. She is a professor in Occupational Therapy, and served as Program Director and Department Chair for Occupational Therapy before assuming the Associate Dean position for the College of Health Sciences. As Associate Dean, Dr. King had administrative oversight responsibilities for instructional budget, program development, professional accreditations, and community partnerships. She currently serves on the CHS Advisory Board as well as community schools and leadership boards. Show less
