Dedicated team member running the MEND programme, aimed at improving awareness of healthy eating and increasing physical activity for families and children. Worked alongside a nutritionist and sports coach to run a variety of fun and educational activities and field trips.

  As a graduate with Forestry England, I spent the first year supporting a range of functions across the South District; the second year based with National Operations at the head office in Bristol. At the same time, I successfully completed the Project Fundamentals Qualification (PFQ), awarded by the Association for Project Management. I was also Chair of the Forestry Commission's LGBTQ+ Steering Network, Rainbow Canopy, which aims to make the Forestry Commission an inclusive environment where everyone can be themselves and achieve their best.   Acting as the Forestry Commission Chief of Staff, I led the combined Private Office of the Chair and CEO. In this incredibly varied, demanding, and wide-ranging role, I supported the Chair and CEO in achieving the Forestry Commission's organisational objectives. I coordinated the day-to-day running of the Executive Office, drafted briefings, speeches and articles, and provided strategic advice. I was the key interlocker between the Chair/CEO and the wider organisation, external stakeholders, Defra officials and Ministers. Show less
