Developed execution plans, managed scope deviations, coordinated problem-solving, and interacted daily with suppliers, engineering centers, and PMC/Client meetings. Resolved engineering and commercial issues, finalized orders, planned and scheduled progress, and led disciplines and project teams across locations.Post engineering and procurement, construction commenced, involving liaison with site team, site visits, pre-commissioning support, vendor issue resolution, representative mobilization, monitoring site service productivity, and prioritizing critical item delivery to support the schedule.During the COVID pandemic, I managed remote teams and ensured minimal disturbance to project activities. I maintained regular discussions with stakeholders to understand the situation and its impact. Show less KNPC CFP-2 Refinery - US$ 1.3 BillionLed Pre and post order engineering management on KNPC's Clean Fuels Project, an EPC job including provision of 19 new refining units at Mina Abdullah refinery and revamping of existing 5 units at Shuaiba refining site, Kuwait.Project scope consists of additional units of of Crude Distillation and Vacuum Rerun, Hydrotreater, Atmospheric Desulphurization, Hydrocracker, and other major utilities. This adds up the number of IOs to 35000 IOs, half of them are in PIL scope.The project's tasks were distributed among four Petrofac offices and two JVs, with Petrofac SHJ office leading all activities for instrumentation discipline.Responsibilities and Achievements:• Engineering & Project Management: • Acted as the Single Point of Contact for JV Interface, managing engineering activities and coordinating daily communication across our offices, JVs and suppliers. I submitted and discussed the progress report with management on weekly basis to align the progress with the overall project plan. • Delivered 1100 shutdown valves and 165 Motor Operated Valves from five different suppliers, overcoming logistical challenges and ensuring timely procurement and post-order management amidst complex scheduling and coordination requirements. • Delivered 500 Guided Wave Radars (GWR) and 600 Flow elements & flow meters maintaining strict adherence to project timeline despite cross-office coordination difficulties. • Ensured documentation consistency across all offices, standardizing procedures and aligning diverse team efforts. • Detailed Engineering: • Developed ICSS loop wiring drawings and attended ICSS FAT. • Supported procurement activities for temperature gauges & pressure gauges coordinating efforts across multiple teams and offices. • Finalized a new fireproofing designs for all shutdown valves and junction boxes (JBs), addressing and resolving stringent Project Specification. It included Gas compression system, Pipelines, Cooling water intake jetty and Utilities which was split across the two regions of Messaieed and Dukhan.Responsibilities and Achievements:- Procurement and Engineering: Successfully managed procurement and detailed engineering of Control Valves, Pressure Safety Valves, Thermal Mass Flow Meters, and various Electronic Transmitters.- Site Support and Material Requisitions:Issued and reviewed over 60 Local Material Supply Requisitions, ensuring timely approval and manufacturing of related offers and documentation.- ICSS Work:Designed and issued Functional Schematic Diagrams for ICSS, and developed Alarm and Trip schedules.Conducted Factory Acceptance Tests for AGRP ICSS systems.- Supervision and InstallationSupervised the installation of mechanical packages including Instrument Air Package, Incinerator Package, and Chemical Injection Packages during a 2-month site visit to QP-SRU.Supervised the installation and commissioning of Unit Control Panels (UCP) for mechanical packages such as Instrument Air, Nitrogen Package, Hot Oil Heater Package, and TEG Off Gas Package during a 3-month site visit to QP-AGRP.
