      Activities and Societies: I was selected twice, by Oxford University's Cross-Country Club to compete in the annual Oxford/Cambridge London Marathon varsity race (2015, 2017). I coxed and rowed for St. Edmund Hall Boat Club, participated in several training camps in Italy, and coxed a section (Reading to Staines) of an Oxford to London charity row. In 2014 I participated in The Student Consultancy program and completed the Springboard personal development program in 2017. During this year, I presented her work at ATOM (Antwerp, Taiwan, Oxford Microscopy), a small informal international conference, and produced a conference poster. My master’s thesis was graded as first-class and subsequently awarded the department’s prize for the most significant improvement between parts I and II of the degree. Show less

      Research Topic: Understanding and exploiting the piezoelectric response in collagen. Scholarship: QUT School of Chemistry, Physics and Mechanical Engineering Scholarship and HDR Tuition Fee SponsorshipMy research is focused on determining the origin of the piezoelectric response present in collagen fibres, with the aim to optimise its structure to act as a renewable power source for implantable biomedical devices.
