  Helped set up and managed the Werneth Playing for Success centre with the remit of using ICT and sport to improve the motivation, confidence and Literacy and Numeracy levels of Primary and Secondary age children throughout Oldham. Successfully delivered a range of IT based intervention projects, designed by myself, which impacted significantly on pupil progress and attainment levels, in Literacy and Numeracy.

This incorporated high quality, needs - focussed, team teaching sessions, equipping staff with the confidence to deliver the subject to its full potential.

Primary services include working in partnership with staff to provide training and support on Computing curriculum matters, as well as offering a wide variety of bespoke Computing based projects, which utilise ICT in order to impact on pupil progress and achievement.   Responsible for teaching the schools Computing curriculum from Nursery through to Year 6. This is delivered through my own online curriculum, which is also used by 40+ other schools throughout the UK. Having designed the school website, school blog, Twitter feed and Facebook page, I am also responsible for managing and maintaining these. I also set up and coordinate the schools highly successful and innovative Digital Leader programme and provide extra curricular Computing provision in the form of an after school Code Club. As the schools designated Computing subject Leader, I am responsible for developing the schools Computing action plan and other Computing/ICT related policies. In May 2016 I became a Computing At School Master Teacher and Our Lady's is recognised by the CAS Network of Excellence as a Lead school for Computing. Show less
