As a research assistant, I have developed numerous Matlab and Python programs to analyze over 500 FBS and NFL games and roughly 75,000 plays. Through a study in Equivalent Points, we have been able to provide the Davidson College coaching staff with Tableau visualizations of analytical data that characterizes our opponents, both offensively and defensively. As a result of this work, Dr. Tim Chartier and I have had the opportunity to present to over 700 people at various events, including Davidson's $425 million Game Changers campaign events in Boston and Charlotte. In addition, we had the opportunity to appear on The Frank Beckmann Show in January to share our research and make predictions for the FBS Championship Game. Show less As the Producer of a mobile application project, I held the lead role on a team composed of six current Davidson College students and two graduates. As a team, we went through the entire design thinking process, received intense training in both the languages of Swift and Java, and produced a mobile application in just three months. Our mobile app, "Foodscape", highlights the sustainability practices of dining establishments in the Davidson area and is currently available on the iTunes store.More details about the app can be found here:http://food.davidson.edu/mobile-app/ Show less As one of twelve Sustainability Scholars for Davidson College, I participated in a variety of projects, presentations, and volunteering opportunities in the Charlotte-Mecklenburg community. My work included presentations on sustainable marketing strategies to companies like Ingersoll Rand, Chiquita, and Bank of America. In addition, I participated in volunteering opportunities at organizations like Sow Much Good, and the Davidson College Farm to promote sustainable farming practices in communities in the Charlotte area. COMAP | Interdisciplinary Contest in Modeling | Meritorious Winner COMAP - Interdisciplinary Contest in Modeling Feb 2016 I led a team of three students representing Davidson College in the 2016 Interdisciplinary Contest in Modeling. This contest consisted of over 5000 teams from 8 countries. For this competition, our team developed a global water availability/scarcity model that assessed a region's current ability to meet fresh-water demands, as well as projected the ability of a region to meet their fresh-water needs in the future. Through this work, our team was awarded the distinction of Meritorious Winner.
