      Maintained engines and related systems on 26 anti-submarine warfare aircraft. Responsible for lubrication, troubleshooting, and launching aircraft on multiple shifts. Conducted pre-flight and periodic inspections, oil analysis, and fueling. Related systems included combustion, fuel, gas turbine compressor, auxiliary power units, and exhaust. Led maintenance shop safety, inspections of aircraft carrier equipment and supplies for detachment, and FOD (foreign object damage) walk-downs. Served aboard several aircraft carriers as an onboard mechanic. Low and high-power turn-up qualified.
