  I interned in the reporting department for 1 month. During this time- I went on several reporting projects. I had a chance to publish a story on Railway porters in Downtown Hindu- Mylapore Edition. This internship in the reporting department taught me hoe to write a hard news report and helped me gain contacts in the field I am Interested.Since my college demanded a three month internship at the same firm, I wanted to explore my opportunities in other departments as well, I interned with marketing team of The Hindu for 2 months from March till May. Here , I got the opportunity to take part in the World of Women award ceremony held by the Hindu. I also learned about the marketing aspects of the news organisation. How the brand value is created.
