  Contract employment in Edinburgh while my wife was studying there. Mostly early concept designs for huge projects. My competition proposal for Queens University, Belfast was shortlisted.At the time they were PJMP (Percy Johnson Marshal Partners) but are now know as JM Architects.

  I was co-owner and was appointed as a director in 2007. VDMMA is a well respected Cape Town based architectural firm with a varied portfolio of work in the Western Cape and elsewhere in South Africa (and as far afield as Greece, Morocco, Kenya and Kuwait). Projects ranged from bespoke homes to corporate headquarters, apartment buildings and the Zeitz MOCAA art museum at the V+A Waterfront.   I am very proud to be a part of Henriquez Partners Architects (HPA) and of being able to contribute to the fantastic work, along with a team of fantastic people. Projects I have been involved in vary from the large scale Oakridge development to an addition and conversion to an existing 1970s brick building. I have been particularly pleased to have been able to work on a hybrid mass timber (CLT) rental residential tower, with a focus on embodied carbon reduction.
