      Senior Research Fellow

Senior research fellow working responsible for implementation of machine learning algorithms (supervised and unsupervised) into supernova classification and identification.- I have built a new classification technique able to improve the classification of superluminous supernovae among astronomical surveys. Project concluded 1yr ahead of the deadline. Methodology and algorithm are presented in an accepted peer-review paper (https://arxiv.org/abs/1711.03787)- I have also led two teams of 5 and 20 researchers and data science PhD/fellows for two projects, one with the Dark Energy Survey and another with the ESA-Euclid consortium. The project's duration was of 2 and 1 years, respectively, but the first goal was achieved in only 1yr after the start of the project. Now working on Bayesian approaches on supernovae involving use of machine learning techniques.- Algorithms created for these projects are now available on my GitHub profile: https://github.com/cinserra Show less
