  Worked as a guest researcher on 'Role of Extended Producer Responsibility in Realizing a Circular Economy for Plastic Waste: Analysis of Key Concepts and Stakeholder Views in Germany and India'. Research through literature review, expert interviews and secondary data analysis aims to critically analyze and understand key factors that have influenced and shaped Germany’s Extended Producers Responsibility (EPR) policy on Plastic Waste from the perspective of relevant actors (academia, circular economy businesses [incl. recycling, waste management], civil society organizations, Producer Responsibility Organization (PROs)), and policy. The results of the literature search and the secondary data will be augmented by conducting expert interviews with relevant interest groups from businesses and policy/public administration in Germany. Parallelly, contextual analysis of the Indian context and developments will be done through secondary research and expert interviews. Based on these findings, policy recommendations and opportunities for knowledge exchange between India and Germany will be explored. Show less
