I managed a ~£800m portfolio of 15-20 clients that consisted of plcs, private companies and universities, that either had facilities greater than £30m and / or syndicated facilities, or were PE backed. I was predominantly responsible for managing the credit side of the relationships including new lending opportunities (refinances, acquisitions, cash-outs, recaps etc) and existing facility amendments. My portfolio consisted of 30-35 typically private companies, with turnovers up to ~£100m p.a. and total facilities across the portfolio of ~£200m. I was predominantly responsible for managing the credit side of the relationships including new lending opportunities (refinances, acquisitions, cash-outs, recaps etc) and existing facility amendments. Managed a portfolio of ~30 typically <£2m debt SME clients. Worked with clients to implement operational and financial restructures, with the ultimate objective of returning them to the originating business unit in the mainstream part of the Bank. Maximised debt recovery when an operational/financial restructure was not possible to implement. High standard of client care, negotiation and contact to ensure that optimal strategy was delivered. As well as managing a small portfolio of ~5 clients (typically <£1m debt SME clients), I worked alongside Senior Corporate Relationship Managers to support them with their day to day role in dealing with their clients (typically <£20m debt and <£35m turnover) and driving strategy. As part of the support I provided, I shadow managed a portfolio of 10 clients on behalf of several Senior Corporate Relationship Managers (in particular whilst they were on secondment to Ireland).
