      • Worked on two main projects.o City Information System (Reliance Infocom, India): The project advocates the creation of a city map from high-resolution satellite data (IKONOS) at 1:1000 scales for telecommunication, marketing, and emergency response purposes. The creation of such a huge database is one of its kind in the IT world. The whole process involves Geo-referencing of images, digitization, attribution addition, and field validation to make GIS database.o GIS conversion of Outside Plant Facility Management (US West Telecommunication, USA): This project involved the creation, conversion, and analysis of a database for telecommunication facilities. The source documents were available in paper formats, which were then converted into digital format for various planning/management purposes. The drawing files convert to the .dxf formats and finally to the GINA (Graphic Input Archive) format. The Client that dealt with spatial and non-spatial data used OSP-FM software for Analysis and Planning.• Led a team of GIS professionals on the Reliance Infocom project.• Developed and tested GIS applications on AutoCAD Map and ArcMap.• Discovered patterns and trends by spatially mapping data.• Produced maps showing the spatial distribution of various kinds of data, including telecom/utility assets.• Maintained geospatial documentation for reference purposes.• Worked in compliance with GIS standards and quality policies. • Worked on multiple GIS and Telecom Data Migration projects. Some of the major projects were,o Drainage & Road Management System (Ashghal, Qatar): The Drainage & Road Management System (DRMS) is a web-based Geographic Information System (GIS) utilized by the Public Work Authority (Ashghal) in Qatar for the city of Doha. The system is created to assist contractors and Ashghal management in effectively managing ongoing and completed projects on-site.o TbayTel & SaskTel (Canada): Both Canadian telecommunications companies, have initiated projects to migrate their unorganized/unstructured raw CAD data to Network Engineer. The scope of the project encompasses various tasks such as data cleansing, data extraction, Telco feature generation from schematic to Geolocation, and validating the migrated data. Designed and developed multiple modules like Data Cleansing: - This module process/analyze raw input data, make required changes in the data for further processing and generate a log for the features having discrepancies/errors which were not corrected by the tool. Logical Connectivity Generation: This module processes the telco features (the basis of Pairs provided in the input DWG and MARTENS database) and creates logical connectivity between the features. Schematic Cables Generation: This tool was developed to read information about cables from schematic files and generate a network on geolocation. This tool also creates an association between the spans and cables. Validations: This module was used to validate source data as per Telecordia Network Engineer validation rules. Data Migration: Develop tools and scripts to migrate telecom data from AutoCAD, txt files, xls files to Telecordia Network Engineer.o NGEDT: New Generation Engineering Design Tool (NGEDT) was a new version of Network Engineer specifically designed and developed to meet the business requirements of the client.
