I enquired about an exchange programme to the USA and after discussing with programme leaders we made it happen. After a successful application I was given the opportunity to be the first Sports Science exchange student to San Francisco State University. In my 2nd year I lived in San Francisco and studied the equivalent course known as 'Kinesiology'. I had to completely adapt my method of studying and assignment writing to achieve good grades whilst abroad. It was the most amazing experience I have ever had. I learned a lot about myself and improved my independence, confidence, adaptability and organisational skills. Not only this I was named on the Dean's list which is an academic recognition for high grades. Finally I returned to London to complete my final year and I chose the modules which would allow me to follow the Human Physiology and did my dissertation in Biomechanics and achieved a 1:1.
