Served in the Office of China Affairs, Bureau of East Asian and Pacific Affairs covering political-military issues, including nonproliferation, arms control, strategic security, maritime, and U.S.-China bilateral relations. Served as Staff Assistant in the Executive Office, supporting the Ambassador and Deputy Chief of Mission, managing clearances, and coordinating paper flow through the Embassy and back to Washington. During a rotation in the consular section, handled immigrant and non-immigrant visa adjudications. Handled non-immigrant visa adjudications. Also supported Secretary of State Kerry's participation at the 2016 G20 summit in Hangzhou, China.
