  RAPt (the Rehabilitation for Addicted Prisoners Trust) works to help people with drug and alcohol dependence, both in prison and in the community, move towards, achieve and maintain positive and fulfilling drug-free and crime-free lives.Leadership responsibility for 85 staff and management of a £4million operational budget.Oversaw the management of a national programme of 12 service contracts based within prisons and in communities which included residential substance misuse treatment facilities, behavioural change programmes and daycare support facilities.Developed and successfully tendered for new project opportunities with reporting responsibilities to the senior management team and board of trustees.Initially held post of Drug Programme Service Manager with promotion in 2002 and directly responsible to the Chief Executive Officer.   Leadership and budget management responsibilities for a cohort of 90 staff and £30million.Designed and delivered a city wide community safety plan that included investment and joint working between key public bodies, creating annually savings of 12%.Provided leadership on a partnership project between Leeds City Council and West Yorkshire Police to deliver a new city wide CCTV service realising 10% savings to budget.Effectively managed the development and implementation of the strategic commissioning programme within the Leeds Community Safety Partnership with responsibility for planning, management and monitoring of all funding allocated through the Council, Home Office and Department of Health.Reported to Director, Environment and Neighbourhoods.
