Occupations of the job included:• Creation of protocols for the validation/homologation of locomotive systems fulfilling each country requirements. Systems which I have work with include, mechanical (i.e.: diesel engine), pneumatic (i.e.: compressed air production system, brakes, actuators), electric (i.e.: security systems, general electric installation, control systems), etc.• Documentation of customer’s country requirements in order to approve the homologation of the locomotive.• Execution of tests based on the protocols created. Including dynamic tests in which travelling is required as well as team working with international laboratory experts.• Write up of reports based on the results obtained in the tests as well as their analysis for further improvement.• Locomotive internal systems checking as well as developing improvements and modifications.• Use of different diagnostic equipment, data loggers, in addition to analyzing the raw data obtained using the appropriate software (sefram, fluke oscilloscope, etc.)• Preparation of mechanical and electrical instrumentation of the locomotive as a preparation for the tests.• Dynamic testing in collaboration with German laboratories around Spain railway network.
