      An internal web app for Thomson Reuters aimed at boosting overall productivity of the company by creating an avenue for knowledge sharing across teams and business units. I oversaw all aspects of the project. My specific responsibilities and milestones with regard to this endeavor was as follows:• Proactively qualified the need for an app like Converge at Thomson Reuters after a series of qualitative interviews with employees across the organization and observations around interpersonal interactions in the company.• Leveraged input from the qualitative interviews to conceive the product as well as the various use cases tied to it.• Made formal pitches to over ten executive sponsors across the company’s leadership and senior management in order to secure funding for the development of the app and the activities associated with the rollout of the app to employees.• Secured funding from the Catalyst fund – an internal investment arm of the company that focuses on funding innovation within the company.• Evangelized the concept of Converge across the company to garner support in the form of critical technical expertise in the area of design, tech development, and legal aspects related to the app.• Demonstrated a successful proof of concept – which in turn, laid the groundwork for an additional round of funding to fuel a more robust and user-friendly version of the Converge app.• Recruited and managed a team of ten employees to execute on various key functions related to the creation and rollout of the app. The key functions include product management, project management, design and development, finance and budgeting, and marketing activities.• Leveraged analytics and usage reports around adoption and engagement via the app to optimize app design for a better user experience.• Worked with the legal team to draft a patent application for the app.• Worked on a go-to-market strategy for the potential rollout of Converge to Thomson Reuters’ customers.
