      Report directly to Vice President of Finance to manage the financial operations of the accounting department. In charge of the training, development and performance of accounting staff in the areas of Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Payroll, and Inventory. Responsible for financial management for three entities SCTE, Inc., SCTE Chapters, Inc. and SCTE Foundation, Inc.Accomplishments Included:• Led design, conversion and implementation of a new chart of accounts to enable advance tracking and reporting for each program, resulting in elimination of manual excel spreadsheet tracking of different programs, increased data accuracy, and timeliness. • Reduce month-end closing process from 15 days to 10 days by modifying employee tasks and removing non-added value processes.• Created new financial statement reports providing different levels of financial data, allowing managers to review department level income and expenses, senior level managers gain the ability to evaluate program profitability, and overall ability to drill into the granular level components of any reportable data.• Converted the manual budget process to a hybrid excel and system driven system decreasing processing time by 40%, increasing collaborations within all departments.• Implemented forecasting model utilizing system driven reports and importing tools that increased data accuracy, timeliness and effectiveness.• Resolved $300,000 of balance sheet accounts discrepancies saving the company over $10,000 of additional audit costs. Responsible for full cycle General Ledger Management, bank reconciliation, payroll processing and reporting for 50 employees, financial statement preparation, sales and use tax, deferred revenue, pre-paid expenses, fixed assets and annual audit. Accomplishments Included:• Improved bank reconciliation from manual processing to system driven bank reconciliation process, resulting in the bank reconciliation process to be reduced by 50%.• Consolidated and codified fixed assets in excel. This excel file facilitated the review of all fixed assets, yielding the identification of over $200,000 of disposable assets and improved accuracy of recognized depreciation expense. • Co-writer of Walter Kaitz Foundation Grant, awarding $50,000 to support the SCTE Foundation Spanish operation initiatives.
