Utilizing a wiki platform to collect information on key documents posted online by cities, counties, and school districts, SunshineReview.org provides transparency grades for more than 6,000 government websites.In 2012, I compiled the results of a year-long public records request project surveying the salaries of public employees in 152 local governments in 8 states. ("Which governments pay public employees the most?" January 2012.) The resulting white paper received more than 300 media mentions.
