      Activities and Societies: As Chair of the Student Court, learned a few good lessons about being impartial and making tough decisions. Also, I played college baseball for all four years. In 1968, just before the controversial olympics, I spent the summer in the mountains of Tlaxcala, Mexico in a work-study project ran by the American Friends Service Committee (AFSC). Awesome experience attending this new and dynamic HBCU during the height of the Civil Rights Movement and the Vietnam War. Met great leaders such as Congresswoman Shirley Chisholm, Justice Thurgood Marshall, Civil Rights Leader Roy Innis, Cesar Chavez, and many others.

Hospital facilities provide health care 24/7 to over 40,000 ER patients and 8000 patients admitted annually.
