  Had three months extensive classroom program at NPTI Faridabad. After that was posted at 400 kV HVAC and HVDC sub-stations, where learnt about construction of the HVAC transmission line and real time operation experience of HVAC and HVDC stations. I also gained experience of maintenance activity in grid sub-station and replacement of failed thyristors in HVDC.

  Responsible for reliable, secure and resilient grid operation of Northern Region. The works involve analysis of various events using WAMS data and taking remedial action, Reactive Power & Voltage Control in the Region, Mock black start Exercises of Hydro and Gas units in the region and capacity building of stakeholders in the area of Synchrophasor & WAMS, System Restoration, Special Protection Scheme, PSS and Governor tuning. In addition to this, works also involve designing of Special Protection Scheme, development of WAMS application & analytic and Protection coordination among various inter-regional, inter-state and intra-state utilities. Show less I worked in Post Grid Disturbance Analysis, the work involves multiple element tripping analysis using PMU data and DR/EL details, Weather based tripping analysis, Reactive Power and Voltage control in Northern Region. The various grid operation related issues is taken up with Northern Region utilities during monthly coordination meetings.Delivered guest lectures at various workshop in the area of System Restoration, Reactive Power & Voltage Control, Protection System, Synchrophasor and WAMS. Show less After successful OJT in POWERGRID, finally posted at NLDC (National Load Dispatch Centre), Delhi, where worked in SCADA department to improve the visualization of ALL INDIA GRID to Real Time System Operator and Data Representation. I developed All India SCADA Map with all stations name in Hindi. Gained experience in real time grid operation. I also worked in Management Information System (MIS) department and analysed the various parameter like grid frequency, demand met, energy met etc for all india grid. I also developed monthly and yearly CD based on SCADA data for all india level. Show less
