Portfolio lead and project manager of the MARIOS Mining Equipment Portfolio. Focused on monitoring and tackling mining equipment wear and reliability.- Built working relationship with oilsands surface mining staff and mining equipment end-user groups to identify common wear and reliability issues relating to rope shovels and haul trucks. - Developed a multi-parameter sensor system for unattended monitoring of mining haul truck tire integrity parameters. - Developed field study method and sensor kit for monitoring and characterizing cable shovel tooth wear. Based on shovel on-board parameters and externally collected data.- Performed data analysis for characterizing rope shovel dig conditions and wear performance. Including data conversion and cleaning, visualizations/graphing, and drawing technical conclusions, and reporting. Show less Project Management- Managing multidisciplinary sensor development, fabrication, and testing projects. Responsible for scope, budget, resource management, scheduling, project quality, and client management.- Managing multi-client consortium projects, including acting as convener between clients, subject matter experts, and suppliers, and delivering technical presentations at industry workshops. Analyzer Design- Designing and building industrial analyzer products for oil sands processing, pulp and paper, mining, and agriculture monitoring. Includes detailed design, component selection, procurement, and installation and assembly. pumps, chillers, sensors transmitters, control equipment, and pressure vessels. - Design and implementation of monitoring systems for lab and field research applications. Includes, gaining a detailed understanding of the application, determining the variables of interest, and identifying and/or designing suitable measurement methods and equipment.- Installation and configuration of research measurement systems including wiring and integration into control system or data acquisition system, configuration, testing, calibration, and troubleshooting.- Mechanical engineering design including design, ABSA registration, and contracting manufacture of pressure fittings.
