  Project - Remote Access to Customer Equipment - RACEClient - British TelecomTechnologies used - SQL, PL/SQL, Unix shell scripting, Ab Initio tool, Python, C, Oracle 10g.The BT Global services application under domain management platform. RACE- Remote Access to Customer Equipment is a legacy application which gives a platform to DTO’s (Diagnostics Test Officer) and admin users to operate and perform diagnostics on BT equipments commissioned in BT’s customer premises. These equipments generally includes PBX switches i.e. Meridian (Nortel), IDX, Avaya etc. The connection methods are ROIP, LAN and serial (bit by bit connection over PSTN line directly to the switch). LAN and ROIP connections are established using DCU boxes present on the circuit between BT core network and customer switch. The application is capable of providing other services i.e. alarm monitoring using SNMP and initiating automated diagnostics. RACE is a vast application built using pro C, unix shell script, python, oracle forms and having a oracle database configured with WebDB with PL/SQL. It provided a web interface namely RACEWEB and an oracle forms built in unix interface called RAMGR for its user to carry on BAU tasks.As a core design team member:- Capturing requirements from customer.- Finalizing High Level Design components.- Working in agile environment for complete Low level design and core development.- Fixing defects during Unit and system testing.- Responsible for delivery to Test server for Customer Acceptance Testing.
