  Transportation Technician

  Worked as a transportation technician designing highway rehab jobs for the MTO. Primarily completed preliminary site inspections (culvert, guide rail and signs) and designed the highway rehab. Spent majority of the day drafting construction drawings such as staging, removals, signs, etc.

  I worked under a Contract Services Administrator (CSA) on an in-house structural culvert replacement contract on Highway 129. Liaison between inspectors and the CSA. I checked inspectors daily diaries for accuracy and to ensure all information necessary was provided. Also compiled monthly payments to be made to the contractor. Oversaw a ditch realignment contract from start to finish (site survey to site cleanup).

  Inspector

  I was a Junior Inspector on a Highway 17 rehab contract primarily responsible for grading and drainage. On site I completed daily inspections as per MTO guidelines and completed detailed daily diaries and monthly payments. Quickly earned the trust from the CA to add/remove contract items as necessary on site. Also completed compaction reports using a nuclear density gauge.
