  Teaching Assistant

  I was a teaching assistant of Mathematics for the JSS 3(now JHS 3) stream. The mathematics teacher within a week of joining left the teaching to me and focused on administrative duties as he was the headmaster as well. I went on to prepare the final year students for their B.E.C.E. exams with no teacher training. The students performed well too.

  After successfully prototyping an intelligent traffic light system in our Discrete Mathematics class at Ashesi, I was chosen with a couple of other classmates to take it live at the Ghana Multimedia Incubator Centre. This was a very formative experience for me in enterpreneurship.

  I joined Rancard right after school. I was put as lead developer on a project to connect the then Ghana Telecom (now Vodafone) Intelligent Network (IN). Although I worked for a short period, I managed to execute the goal of creating a fluent API for internal use before leaving to start DreamOval with a couple of friends.

  I was a teaching assistant to Dr. Nathan Amanquah, an excellent computer scientist and a mentor. He taught the Networks course. it was a great honour serving under him. my core responsibility was to handle labs.

  As COO, I am responsible for the effective and efficient running of DreamOval while serving at the pleasure of my CEO. This encompasses the way we development software, distribute it to our customers and support it. Managing the operational excellence of DreamOval means understanding intricately the way in which work flows, anticipating changes to it and creating clarity across the organization about it. I lead the engineering and research efforts at DreamOval. This means looking at Engineering process, new technologies, new opportunities, infrastructure, sustainable strategies to align engineering efforts to the Business Vision of Making Life Simple

  I worked on secondment from DreamOval with Genkey in its initial efforts to create an IBIS around its patented low-cost fingerprint solution. my duties were mainly around the middleware and storage.it was a pleasure working with some of the smartest software brains in Ghana.
