      Customer Service is a national function within the Diagnostic & Therapeutic Service (DTS) Directorate of NHS Blood and Transplant (NHSBT). The scope and responsibilities of the of my role were extensive and included:- Management of the partnership between NHSBT and the wider Healthcare community- Supporting a national initiative called ‘Patient Blood Management' which supports hospitals in England and North Wales with the safe and appropriate use of blood- Support of national projects to improve NHSBT Service DeliveryThe Customer Services function required a robust administrative infrastructure to help it achieve its objectives. I was responsible for the overall management of all administrative activity within the function, including the line management of all locally based administrative staff. One of my duties was to provide Personal Assistant (PA) support to the National Lead: Patient Blood Management, who is a member of the Customer Service Senior Management Team. I also provided PA support, as required, to other members of the Customer Services Senior Management Team (SMT).I used a high degree of independent judgement and initiative, to be able to work under pressure and had the ability to prioritise my own workload and that of the staff I line managed. I acted as an interface between NHS Blood and Transplant, the wider NHS, UK Blood Services and other key individuals as appropriate to support NHSBT's strategic messages, one of the most important being to save and improve patient lives.       Corporate Governance & Assurance Coordinator

      Within my role as Corporate Governance and Assurance Administrator, I took detailed minutes/action logs for Board-level and Senior Management Meetings. Along with general meeting support I helped maintain the annual cycles of business for the Oxford University Hospitals Trust, also managing the forward agenda planners for the Trust Board and its sub-committees. Liaising with Executive Directors and other members of the Trust Board to ensure paperwork was available on time for Trust Board and Senior Management Meetings. I managed the overseeing and checking, collating, printing, and distribution of Board and Sub-Committee agendas and papers, ensuring they were to a high standard and had no inaccuracies. I coordinated core Corporate Governance and Assurance work streams, including the management of the Oxford University Hospitals NHS Trust register of gifts and hospitality, conflicts of interest, and administration of the Trust Seal. This required a high level attention to detail, often having to clean data from previous registered interests to see trends and create reports for end of year accounts.I managed the process to ensure corporate risks were routinely reviewed and updated to meet time scales agreed by Directors. Including the co-ordination of the escalation of risks from divisional and corporate directorate risk registers on to the Corporate Risk Register. I assisted with the review and development of other risk registers across the Trust.I managed the policy management system to ensure all Trust Corporate and Assurance policies were reviewed and updated in a timely way and that a Corporate record was kept of the status of policies.       Within my role I worked within the Clinical Innovation Adoption (CIA) programme, with the remit of this role being to lead on increasing the speed of uptake of innovative projects to create health benefits for patients and financial benefits for providers and suppliers.Some of my duties and responsibilities within this role included:- Working with the CIA Programme , NHS organisations, Clinical Networks, industry and national (e.g. NICE), to support the delivery of specific projects that had been selected for adoption at scale- Agree implementation plans for uptake of national and local sourced innovative technology and best practice.- Agree implementation plans with NHS organisations for uptake of nationally and locally sourced innovations- Support the production of business cases as required for projects- Agree monitoring arrangements for uptake and provide monthly reports against implementation plans. Responsible for the delivery of projects on time, to quality standards and in a cost effective manner- Produce and maintain project initiation documentation and associated plans with regular team meetings to monitor progress and resources. Support actions required to meet conflicting/changing requirements- Plan and manage numerous events/meetings. Ensure minutes, agenda and presentations are available in a timely manner, working with senior colleagues as required- Identify and manage risks and issues that prevent project roll-out and escalate these risks and issues (and plans for mitigation) to the Programme Board as necessary - Lead on post-project evaluation, document and present lessons learned - Support the CIA programme to work with commissioners to ensure that contractual barriers to adoption are addressed through contract arrangements, CQUIN or investing to save- Research “new” innovations as part of the annual planning cycle, capturing health economics, viability and readiness to adopt- Develop involvement in projects with Patient Groups Show less My duties included providing a high level confidential administrative and secretarial support to the Director of Commercial Development with respect to the wealth creation programme and to the Director of Innovation Adoption in support of the Clinical Innovation Adoption programme.Ensuring I worked collaboratively, and as part of the wider AHSN Team, to manage my own workload on a day-to-day basis and act independently to action and prioritise work to meet deadlines, to lead on the development of a number of internal systems and processes, and liaise with a range of internal and external stakeholders.My day to day responsibilities included organising diaries and meetings for the Director of Commercial Development and the Director of Innovation Adoption, making arrangements for relevant meetings and events, the preparation of short reports, note taking and ensuring that these two teams have up-to-date and effective systems and processes.
