      My field of work deals with the synthesis of Graphene nanoribbon (GNR) based composite material for electromagnetic interference shielding. The goal of this part of research has three fold: study of electronic properties of GNR at local level using probe microscopy, synthesis of GNR-PVA composite and its characterization, and synthesis of GNR-PANI composite in Epoxy matrix so as to develop new material which can be used as EMI shielding as well as high strength material. We tried to put some light on the properties responsible for showing excellent shielding by these GNR based nano composites.I also worked in making conjugate of GNR with La0.7 Sr0.3 MnO3 and study its properties so that it can be used for spintronics applications.
