  In 2011 the Bridgwater Show Choir was one of only two British performance groups to feature in the book “Sweat, Tears and Jazz Hands: The Official History of Show Choir from Vaudeville to Glee”, by US authors Mike Weaver and Colleen Hart. Subsequently, the Show Choir were the first UK group to be invited to perform at the FAME National Championships in New York. The choir have also featured on the television programme ‘Don’t Stop Believing’, Channel 5 (August 2010) and were named UK’s Best Glee Club by Lee Mead and the cast of Wicked. This gave rise to a performance alongside the cast of Wicked in the West End at the Apollo Victoria Theatre. The choir and I worked with choirmaster Gareth Malone OBE on his CBBC programme The Big Performance and performed live on BBC1 Children In Need in November 2011. All these experiences demonstrate my capacity to work at a consistently high standard in which my pupils are industry prepared as well as being able to realise my vision of creating and leading an internationally recognised performance group. My excellent communication and interpersonal skills also come to the fore in my ability to liaise and negotiate with production companies and international organisations.
