    • 3 Lives Left

      Feb 2008 - Feb 2009
      Creative Director

3 Lives Left was a game development start-up that failed. We were developing our own game as well as developing advergames for 3rd parties. I learned a lot from our mistakes, such as building a strong business foundation before committing full time, controlling your burn-rate and not hiring too early. My portfolio covered a range of tasks, but they included: game design, setting and back story creation and some administration. Sales, PR, marketing and website content management were also my domains. I also wrote and oversaw design documents and funding applications. We produced only one finished game, before we had to shut it down, but were awarded several hundred thousand DKK by the Danish Film Institute for our original game idea.I joined in all business and strategy discussions with the other two partners - Gorm Lai and Jacob Mortensen.During this period I also did content managing and translation for Charlottehaven (www.charlottehaven.com) and retained my stringer contract with Thomson Reuters to add revenue to the company.
