      Masters of applied science environmental engineering

      Undertook studies related to solid waste management, wastewater treatment, advanced chemistry, water supply, etc. My thesis involved development of a bench scale process to extract commodity chemicals from organic residues. Through my work, I demonstrated the feasibility of manufacturing a stable, high nitrogen content carbon-based fertilizer from a highly variable heterogeneous waste material that would otherwise require significant treatment prior to field application.

      WIND ENERGY: Developed, managed and spearheaded CRA's wind energy services group. I grew the business from a fringe geotechnical investigation business with involvement in just over 100 MW of installed capacity to involvement in over 2,000 MW of installed capacity. Services included all phases of planning and development.ENVIRONMENTAL DUE DILIGENCE:Executed over 40 Phase I ESAs in Ontario, Quebec and New York.       In this role, I am responsible for several areas of continued and growing focus for the association. In addition to ongoing duties related to internal technical support, I am heavily focused on the successful delivery of the Pan Canadian Wind Integration Study, a multi-year, multi-stakeholder initiative that will examine the implications and opportunities associated with future high wind penetration in Canada. Much of my work in the coming years will be focused on growing CanWEA's O&M presence and offerings, including areas such as asset life; post-construction data; operational data; safety.
